Why we love Goat's Milk

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

At The Healing Place Farm, Goat's milk is liquid gold in our eyes. Its beneficial uses are proving endless as we continue to add to our creative bath and body products. We would love to share a few of our top favorite reasons for using this amazing gift from nature.

Moisturizing

What would seem the most widely known use for Goat's Milk Soap is that it is highly moisturizing. It draws moisture to the skin, is highly nourishing, and can reduce irritation. This makes it a wonder to add to natural soaps, body butter & other skin softening bath and body products.

Exfoliating

Goat's milk soap contains Alpha-hydroxy acids that can gently exfoliate your skin. AHAs have been shown to have many benefits for the skin such as skin regeneration, lightening of hyperpigmentation and age spots, clearing pores, and the gentle removal of dead skin cells without irritation.

Humectant

Goat's milk soap is considered a humectant. This means that it isn't only moisturizing itself, but will effectively pull moisture from the environment. It will continue softening your skin throughout the day and help you to retain it.

Nourishing

Goat milk contains many vitamins such as A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and many more. It is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin. It assists in promoting and maintaining a healthy dermis and epidermis; the top two layers of your skin.

Minerals

Goat milk contains important minerals for the skin such as selenium. Selenium is believed by scientists to have an important role in preventing skin cancer. Selenium can also help prevent damage to the skin from excessive time in the sun.
