On these damp chilly days I like to add a few non-food comfort measures to my day. The first is a warm cup of strong lemon tea. The refreshing flavor of lemon tea is soothing to the palate. Secondly, I will diffuse citrus essential oils in a cast iron pot filled with water on my stove or a Himalayan Salt Lamp Diffuser. Citrus essential oils have therapeutic properties which are uplifting and energizing. Add a drop of mint also to your diffuser and you will increase the "zip" of the aroma ten fold. Finally, Warming Oil, a combination of peppermint, eucalyptus and orange in an olive oil carrier is a nice after bath/shower treat or applied as desired to external areas. Warming Oil is gentle and effective for those chills that only come with a Wisconsin Winter/Spring day. May you find peace and joy in your day today.
