In the months since my last post many things have gone on at the farm. We hosted a benefit for breast cancer support over two weekends. More than 1000 people graced the shop to either wrap soap, purchase products or join in the festivities of the day. It was a whirlwind time and continues to be as we restock all of our supplies.
In the last two weeks, 1000 bars of soap have been created. Dutch Chocolate, Gardener's Soap with a cornmeal twist, Oats/Honey, Litsea (the best selling aroma of the summer), No See "Um, No Smell "Um soap for those in the outdoors, Bug Off soap.....the list could go on for this entire page. Each one serves a purpose whether it be therapeutic or to bring a memory back from childhood.
We visited the goat farm where we get all of our milk from. There were more than 800 goats there with new ones being born daily. These little ones were so tiny and the mamas did such a great job doing what comes naturally to care for them. The facility was clean and well maintained. The milk had a heavy cream on top which I gladly poured right into the soap blend.
Numerous new products were developed and will be on the shelves shortly. Just today I put 15 new items on my ETSY store. Most of them were soaps. If there is anything you are particularly looking for, let me know.
As we prepare diligently for the fall open house I am grateful for the wonderful business and group of supporters that I have. Not many people can say that they love their job but I certainly do. It's a treasure to work with these raw materials and a blessing to have the wonderful patrons and clients that I do.
Stay tuned for more timely updates. Again, thank you for patronizing my Farm Store.
