As we head into 2020 we have a renewed interest in bringing aromatherapy and farm life outside the walls of The Healing Place Farm and into the world. We have been the best kept secret in aromatherapy/urban farming for 12 years and we'd like to share what we know with the people you love, are friends with, work alongside or that we bump into by chance.... enter social media and blogging. We have refamiliarized ourselves with Instagram and are continuing to add thought provoking posts to Facebook. Just today, we added a contest to our Instagram page as we revitalized it. If you haven't shared your response, please do! The prize is $75 worth of products. And all you have to do is give us a word about yourself. Follow us for additional opportunities to both win and learn some great tips on aromatherapy and farm life.
What makes us different? Polly has been studying aromatherapy for 15 years. She completed a Clinical Aromatherapy Program, Board Certified in Holistic Nursing and receives credits every year in continuing aromatherapy/holism education. There is a passion, commitment and dedication to aromatherapy that has remained steadfast for well over a decade. Science backs the Healing Place Farm and we work hard to keep everything natural, unadulterated and sustainable. We pride ourselves in bringing you unprecedented customer service which is reminiscent of times past. Eclectic. Timeless. Relatable. Real.
Our website is also getting a fresh look. Watch for tips, recipes as well as thoughts about how to add self loving kindness to your life. We believe that you are important. Our experiences grow us as humans and sharing those with each other keeps it authentic. Many of you know that we connect the dots with missions both near and far. We help because we can. Working hard to live our "best life" describes the chatter on the farm that we share with chickens, guinea fowl, horses, donkeys, a few miniature horses and a wise 10 year old turkey. There is never a dull day here.
Oh, and the paisley glasses.....Close your eyes and consider the word paisley. We look at everything through paisley glasses. Never the same. Always beautiful. Merriam-Webster offers this definition: made typically of soft wool and woven or printed with colorful curved abstract figures. Gorgeous.
Your pearl for today from F. Scott Fitzgerald: For what it's worth...it's never too late, or in my own case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you've never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of and if you're not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.
Coming tomorrow: A great read that just may generate change.
