The farm is home to many people, animals and fresh new ways of healthy living. We have been on the farm for 11 years and continue to grow our love for self-sustaining ways of life. There have been lots of trials and errors, joys and success stories. Convenience living is a way of the past for us. Choosing health is our goal and we continue to look for avenues to augment wellness. One of those choices is to create natural products for the body, mind and spirit.
Essential oils are a mainstay on the farm for people and some of the animals that reside here. We always chuckle when recounting the story of multiple postal workers that remark about how nice it smells outside our home even in winter because of all of the essential oil products emitted from inside our home. We use essential oils to clean, freshen laundry, boost baby cloth diapers, deodorize dog beds, relax dogs and clean their ears, combat illness/disease, smell good, diffuse immune oils, as ingredients for soaps and sundries..........our list is never ending.
The Farm Store is open every third Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. We are also open on "special days" which will be posted on both Facebook and here on the website. During our "special days" seasonal aromatherapy items will be available which correlate to the events surrounding that day. There is always something new as well as traditional favorites. Handmade soap is stocked in the Farm Store as are therapeutic rollers, sprays and aroma-sticks.
There are opportunities to expand your own knowledge of self sufficient living by taking one of many classes offered at the farm including Handmade Soap-making, Blending Essential Oils in Jojoba, Oils for Baby, Salts/Scrubs and Clean Living. Space is limited. Sign up early to secure your spot.
After today, this blog will bring you information, tips, suggestions, thoughts and musings of the author.
