I've been in love with lotion bars for years. They are portable and not nearly as messy as liquid lotions or creams when traveling. As time went on I began to notice that my patrons were requesting lotion bars because they assisted with psoriasis and eczema. Time after time I heard that individuals noticed improvement with the red, scaly patches and other itchy spots (not bug bites...an itch stick helps with that).
Since I don't have either of these skin conditions I wanted to find someone that had a serious case of one or the other to trial the lotion bar. It didn't take long and I found someone that had arms covered with red scaly patches. He was willing to do the test. He applied the lotion bar to one arm instead of both so he could see the difference if there was going to be one. What a great idea! In my mind I thought if we're going to try let's get rid of it all. This was good.
After about 4 days he saw a vast improvement in the arm with the lotion bar application. In addition, he liked the lavender aroma which was also a plus because lavender essential oil is a cicatrisant which means skin healing. After 2 weeks the psoriasis was gone. He was happy and I had proof that improvement in psoriasis and eczema was a definite possibility with the lotion bar.
Although the lotion bar comes in a variety of essential oil aromas I continue to recommend the lavender because I saw the improvement. The therapeutic property of the lavender essential oil as a cicatrisant is a bonus for sure. Soothe the skin and smell nice too! Unbeatable.
